Green Scat

Young stock. Also known as the Argus Fish, Spotted Scat, Argus Scat, or simply Scat, this brackish-water species is easily recognized by its greenish body covered in bold black spots. Highly adaptable, the Green Scat is a hardy fish that can thrive in both brackish and, for a time, freshwater aquariums, though long-term success is best achieved in slightly brackish conditions. Social and active, they make excellent display fish for larger aquariums. Our current stock is available as juveniles, offering aquarists the chance to raise them into their full, vibrant adult form.

Discus.ae prefers younger stock for their better ability to adapt to new water parameters and higher tolerance against transport. On rare occasions you may receive larger specimens when small fish are unavailable, however the smallest should be expected unless the size is noted as "Large" or "Adult".
