Decorus Catfish

Young juvenile of the Decorus Catfish (Synodontis decorus), one of the most impressive Synodontis species, famed for its bold spotted pattern and distinctive long trailing dorsal fin. Native to the Congo River Basin, this species can reach up to 25–30 cm (10–12 in) as an adult, making it a true “monster-sized” catfish for large aquariums. Peaceful yet robust, it is well-suited for tanks with other sizable fish such as bichirs, cichlids, and large characins. While adults are showstoppers, our current stocks are juveniles, making them a great opportunity to grow out into full-sized display specimens.

Discus.ae prefers younger stock for their better ability to adapt to new water parameters and higher tolerance against transport. On rare occasions you may receive larger specimens when small fish are unavailable, however the smallest should be expected unless the size is noted as "Large" or "Adult".
