Poso Rabbit Snail

Rabbit Snails are peaceful slow-moving freshwater snails which make an excellent bottom feeder due to their scavenging behavior which helps eliminate left overs. They are curious by nature but often remain still in one place and not move for long periods which should not call for concern.

Rabbit snails are among the easiest types of snails to keep given that your water condition contains no Ammonia or Nitrites which they do not tolerate. Optimal pH is around 8.2 to 8.4 but can be adapted to lower pH levels.

Our snails have either black or dark brown shells and occasionally with varying degree of dents, chips, or broken tips on different parts of their shells which is common and how they arrive due to their regular climbing across rough surfaces such as rocks and stones in their original habitat. These marks must not be confused with erosions from calcium deficiency. All our snails live in neutral to hard water and receive a varied rich diet with dosed minerals.
