Paradise Fish

The Paradise Fish (Macropodus opercularis) is a hardy and colorful labyrinth fish, well-known for its striking red, blue, and green iridescence and long flowing fins. One of the earliest aquarium fish kept in the hobby, it is admired for its beauty and ability to breathe air from the surface. While generally peaceful, males can be territorial, especially when breeding. It makes a vibrant addition to aquariums with calm companions.
