Hercules Tower Snail

Also known as the Giant Tower Snail or Hercules Brotia Snail, this rare species is highly sought after for its unique shell and impressive size. This variety belongs to the Brotia group and is rarely available in the aquarium trade.

Peaceful and hardy, the Hercules Tower Snail is an excellent bottom-dweller, feeding on detritus, algae, and leftover food, while adding a unique visual contrast to planted or community aquariums. Similar to the Rabbit snails, they are among the easiest types of snails to keep given that your water condition contains no Ammonia or Nitrites which they do not tolerate.

Note: The Hercules Tower Snail transforms its white shell. color gradually as it grows, it is unknown what their final coloration is but please view the images shown on this page for examples. 

Our Rabbit and Brotia snails have varying degree of dents, chips, or broken tips on different parts of their shells which is common and how they arrive due to their regular climbing across rough surfaces such as rocks and stones in their original habitat. These marks must not be confused with erosions from calcium deficiency. All our snails live in neutral to hard water and receive a varied rich diet with dosed minerals.
