Geophagus sveni Rio Araguari

Geophagus sveni “Rio Araguari” is a striking South American cichlid known for its elongated body, vivid red and blue highlights, and elegant finnage. A peaceful “eartheater” species, it sifts through sand for food, making it both functional and attractive in aquariums with fine substrates. Best kept in groups, it thrives in spacious community tanks with calm tankmates and natural aquascapes.

Note: The Geophagus sveni Rio Araguari is similar to the Geophagus sveni Rio Parana variant except minor differences in markings and color.
