Five Banded Barb

The Five Banded Barb (Desmopuntius pentazona) is a peaceful and attractive schooling fish, often mistaken for the Tiger Barb but distinguished by its five bold black vertical bands and more slender body. With its golden-brown base color and lively behavior, it makes an excellent choice for community aquariums. Hardy and active, it thrives in groups and shows its best colors in well-planted setups.
