Congo Tetra

A hardy and beautiful larger tetra from Africa which is a great addition for any planted or community aquarium. The golden and reflective coloration becomes prominent and visually striking once the fish settles in its new environment.

 

Important Note on Gender Selection (Congo Tetra):

Congo Tetras sold at juvenile size may not yet display clear male or female characteristics. Selections marked “Male” are sourced exclusively from breeder-identified male-only batches. While juvenile fish cannot be visually sexed with certainty at packing stage and no gender guarantee is offered, these breeder-identified males have consistently matured correctly over long-term and repeated sales history. By ordering juvenile fish, customers acknowledge this biological limitation and accept the inherent risks associated with early-stage sex differentiation.

Discus.ae prefers younger stock for their better ability to adapt to new water parameters and higher tolerance against transport. On rare occasions you may receive larger specimens when small fish are unavailable, however the smallest should be expected unless the size is noted as "Large" or "Adult".
