Echinodorus major

Echinodorus major, potted.

  • Light green rosette plant
  • Medium to Large leaves
  • Root feeding plant

A variant of Echinodorus with translucent green leaves that can reach up to 60cm high in optimum conditions. Requires nutrition-rich substrate or root tablets such as nutrition capsules to keep the plant in good condition.

Bunches are groups of young plants or stems brought together. They have a few or no roots. Roots are formed very soon after planting. Most are supplied in emersed form, old leaves may melt as new underwater growth appears.

Note: This plant is not produced at Tropica's nursery. It is not guaranteed to be free from pesticides and thus we recommend not to put them directly in tanks with sensitive shrimps or delicate fish. For precaution, keep these plants in tanks where water is changed twice a week for 2 weeks before keeping them with sensitive animals.
