Costae Tetra

The Costae Tetra, also known as Signal Stripe Moenkhausia and Black Lined Tetra, is a favored fish amongst scaping hobbyists for having the best ability to school in synced swimming patterns which creates an eye catching feature to any designed layout. However as the case with all shoaling species, the Costae Tetra will begin to separate and swim in different directions once they're comfortable and feeling more secure in their home environment which is a positive sign of being fully adapted and relaxed.

This tetra also makes a great addition to any community aquarium and a suitable companion to our Stendker discus.

Discus.ae prefers younger stock for their better ability to adapt to new water parameters and higher tolerance against transport. On rare occasions you may receive larger specimens when small fish are unavailable, however the smallest should be expected unless the size is noted as "Large" or "Adult".
