Corydoras duplicareus

Product image 1

Corydoras duplicareus

Note: Available stock of this rare fish are very young juveniles in limited numbers, not recommended if you prefer older and larger cories.

Corydoras duplicareus, also known as False Adolfoi, are almost identical to the Corydoras Adolfoi (also available in our collection) except for the wider dark line on their back and darker black pigments.

Very peaceful community fish which is best kept in groups of 5 to 6 or more. As with most Corydoras, these fish will eat most food which sinks to the bottom of the tank and great for clearing leftover food in Discus aquariums.

Requires a sand or small gravel substrate and prefers a planted tank. Keeping a cory on sharp or large gravel can lead to damage to their barbels, which when infected will make it hard for the cory to find food. Corys are sensitive to salt, as with other scaleless fish, adding salt to the tank will cause them harm.

Fish Size Guide:

The 'Maximum Size' outlined below is the length this fish can reach as a full grown adult. For the actual size please use the select menu above.

Discus.ae prefers younger stock for their better ability to adapt to new water parameters and higher tolerance against transport. On rare occasions you may receive larger specimens when small fish are unavailable, however the smallest should be expected unless the size is noted as "Large" or "Adult".
