Bloody Mary Hillstream Loach
Bloody Mary Hillstream Loach, also known as Gastromyzon sp. “Bloody Mary” and Bloody Mary Borneo Sucker Fish, is a benthic loach suitable for established aquariums with strong flow and high oxygenation. Delivered as a single young specimen.
Bloody Mary Hillstream Loach is a selectively colored form of Gastromyzon sp., valued for its red to reddish-brown fin tones and flattened, ray-like profile. Like other hillstream loaches, it possesses a ventral suction-disc structure formed by modified fins, allowing it to cling to rocks in fast-flowing water. This species thrives in mature aquariums with strong circulation, high dissolved oxygen, and smooth rock surfaces where natural biofilm can develop. It is peaceful and best kept in groups in well-maintained river-style setups.
Color visibility may vary depending on stress level, water quality, diet, and lighting conditions.
