Atabapo Altum Angel
The Altum Angels are more comparable to the Discus in terms of their behavior, a sought after fish that grows to be the tallest among the angelfish species, making it more suitable for larger aquariums.
Their highly iridescent and shiny bodies are reflective with striking stripes that can transform from gold to black depending on their mood and environment. The graceful extended appearance of their large fins makes them an elegant centerpiece in any aquarium.
Altums are also considered the calmest among all angelfish species and most sensitive with requirement for soft and acidic water conditions, their shy and timid nature is particularly accurate when newly introduced which gradually changes once they adapt to their environment and begin to display more sociable and outgoing behavior.
As a cichlid, Altums carry typical traits as other cichlids and best kept in a group for their best behavior. They can be picky eaters but our stocks are maintained with good appetite and happily receive three meals everyday.
Our F1 Atabapo Altum Angels are thoroughly quarantined and free from internal worms commonly found in this species, they are also compatibility tested against bacterial tolerance with our German STENDKER Discus fish. The Altum Angels are not recommended for all aquariums, be sure to consult us for more assistance before delivery.
