Åpex - Koi Classic

Our Åpex Koi Classic has a mostly white and black body with orange on the crown (head) area. The orange pattern on the head is closer to yellow when young and deepens to red orange as the fish matures. The color is highly reactive to their diet and environment where the vibrancy can fade under stress and during transport, please refer to our Åpex instruction care sheet for tips on caring for this strain which is hardy and grows highly colorful in an ideal environment with the correct diet.

Åpex Angelfish

The elegant and graceful Angelfish (P. Scalare) is a popular tropical fish that is easy to keep given that enough space and quality water conditions are provided, making this beautiful and relaxing fish a staple choice for community tanks and large planted aquascapes. Angelfish also belong to the Cichlidae family and a distant relative of our beloved Discus fish and butterfly cichlids, sharing similar environmental and behavioral traits.

Our unique Åpex Angels are disease free strains that were raised in a sterilized environment using unmatched handling methods to provide risk-free stocks, producing healthy Angels that are safe for our Discus and companion species.

If your aquarium contains existing fish or plants from other sources, please take your own quarantine measures to protect our fish before introduction (click here to read our Compatibility article).
